   What's in a Basket?

Each week Farmers Market Baskets chooses a good mix of fresh fruits and vegetables that will provide healthy snacks and nutritious side dishes to your meals.  We typically provide 10 - 14 different fruits and vegetables.  In general, we try to provide at least 6 of each item or 1 pound of each item.

     Generally there will be:
         3 - 4 kinds of hand-held fruit, such as:
                 apples, oranges, bananas, pears, peaches,
                 grapes, strawberries, etc.
         2 - 3 green items for side dishes, such as:
                 leafy lettuces, heads of lettuce, brocolli, green
                 beans, etc.
         4 - 5 kinds of vegetables, such as:
                 carrots (usually baby peeled), potatoes, onions,
                 tomatoes, celery, squash, zucchini, etc.
         1 - 2 specialty items, such as:
                 avacados, green onions, garlic, melons,
                 lemons, or herbs such as cilantro, basil,
                 parsley, etc.
